Research
Alice completed her PhD research in 2021, where she explored touch processes in scenographic design and audience experience. Through her work in sculptural installation, her research looked at how touch can be experienced on the surface of the body as well as deep within it, and how material and spacial factors within design considerations can enable meaningful touch experience within a broader context of sensory perception. Her research recognises the creative capacity of humans to reach across the spaces in-between things, and summon intuitive feelings that satisfy a desire to connect. Alice regularly works as a visiting professional at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama on the Scenography MA/MFA.
